He loves PT! He's doing really well. I am too. I received (yet another) priesthood blessing with some very special messages about Mitchell and to me. Trust in God and believe. A message for us all.
We met another brainstem glioma family at radiation today w/a 6-yr-old little girl. In a way it was very comforting even though I get so sad for another family to go through this. They were very accepting and cheerful. A tender mercy of comfort and strength for me.
This whole process changes everything for me. Every day there are families everywhere going through these heartaches. Worse yet, there are people totally alone and suffering. After this, my intentions will become actions.

Hello Hatfields,
I hope you don't mind, but Cherie sent me your blog address after I asked her last week how Mitchell was doing. I'm so glad she did; my boys have been so worried for Mitchell (as have I). I've been "out of the loop" for so long and didn't know what to tell my kids when they started asking for updates. Cameron is so sensitive that there were nights he cried himself to sleep with worry! I think he's internalizing all of it and projecting it into worry for his own brother.
As I read your posts, I realized what a rollercoaster ride this has been for you and Mitchell. My heart goes out to him and to little Ashley. I'm so overwhelmed having known all three families from Selah who have children being treated for the same type of cancer. It truly breaks my heart and I am so grateful for any good news or progress that I see for any of those sweet babies. A lot of prayers have been sent their way from our family.
Thank you for posting about Ashley as well. Let her family know that we are thinking and praying for them, too. We wish for continued success for Mitchell! Give him a squeeze from Cameron and Mayes :)
Dani
ps--before xmas, a lot of people from Mrs. Gonzales's classes were so worried for you guys. I don't know what all was sent your way in packages, but I want you to know that a few moms who are in Cameron's class asked what they could do to help. Some goodies you hopefully got were from them. Also, when we thought you were going to TX, I talked to Mrs. G about having her afternoon class write letters to Jackson. I hope he got them; Mrs. G is so good to care so much!
